mellow · UrbanSens mellow (house style)#
alkis · ALKIS Liegenschaftskarte#
Area colours of the official German cadastral map (AdV ALKIS-Signaturenkatalog 2.1, colour output 2.1.0): very pale tints, white traffic areas, dark-green vegetation symbols. For maps that have to look like the Liegenschaftskarte.
- Source: AdV, AAA-Signaturenkatalog 2.1 ALKIS Farbausgabe 2.1.0 (Stand 01.10.2024), https://sg.geodatenzentrum.de/web_public/adv/sk/v2.1/alkis/docAlkisFB/SymbologyCatalog.html
- Evidence: Area fills and line colours V (research stream 01, section 4.1). Values for elements without an ALKIS object of their own are the fill of the ALKIS class they belong to (marked 'nearest'). Building fill is not in the research and is a neutral grey from the ALKIS colour table (marked R).
basemap · basemap.de Web#
Colours of the official German web basemap (AdV/BKG basemap.de Web Vektor, style bm_web_col 5.0.3): pastel land cover, white traffic areas. For web maps that sit on or next to basemap.de.
- Source: https://sgx.geodatenzentrum.de/gdz_basemapde_vektor/styles/bm_web_col.json (style-version 5.0.3, read 2026-09-30)
- Evidence: Fill colours V (research stream 01, section 4.3). Woodland uses the colour at high zoom. Elements without a basemap.de class take the colour of the class they belong to.
bfn · BfN Landscape planning#
Pastel backdrop series of the federal plan-symbol catalogue for landscape plans (BfN-Skripten 461/2, 2017): one colour per biotope-type group, no outlines. A recommendation, not law.
- Source: Hoheisel et al. (2017), Planzeichen für die Landschaftsplanung: Planzeichenkatalog, BfN-Skripten 461/2, DOI 10.19217/skr4612, chapter 4.1.1
- Evidence: RGB values V (research stream 02, section 7.4, pastel 'Kulisse' series). The catalogue misprints the deciduous-forest value (it repeats grassland); this theme uses the coniferous value for all forests and marks it. The tree outline follows the saturated series (RAL 140 40 50); the outline of built areas is a house choice.
mono · Mono (drawing)#
Black ink on white: the house textures and symbols without colour, in the spirit of ISO 11091 landscape drawings and the black-and-white column of the PlanZV. For tender drawings, copies and faxes, and for checking that a map reads without colour.
- Source: ISO 11091:1994 (DIN EN ISO 11091:1999-10) conventions; PlanZV § 2 (colour and black-and-white equally valid)
- Evidence: Design derived from the conventions; no colours are prescribed there.
osm · OpenStreetMap Carto#
Colours of the default OpenStreetMap map style (openstreetmap-carto v6.1.0). For apps that combine the library with OSM data and want the familiar look.
- Source: https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto/tree/master/style (landcover.mss, water.mss, buildings.mss, roads.mss), v6.1.0
- Evidence: Fill hex values V (research stream 04, section 2: OSM Carto v6.1.0). Outlines are house choices, darkened from the fills; Carto draws most land cover without outlines. Elements that OSM Carto does not style (planted beds, surfaces by material) take the colour of the nearest styled tag.
planzv · PlanZV Bauleitplan#
Planning-law colours of German land-use and zoning plans (Planzeichenverordnung 1990, Anlage) in the numeric form of the open XPlanung reference implementation xPlanBox. PlanZV names colours only in words; the hex values are the de-facto convention.
- Source: PlanZV Anlage https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/planzv_90/anlage.html ; xPlanBox default styles https://gitlab.opencode.de/diplanung/ozgxplanung
- Evidence: Colour words V (PlanZV); hex values V from xPlanBox (research stream 01, sections 1.5 and 2.6). Elements that have no Planzeichen of their own take the colour of the plan category they belong to.
